Story
Hi all
Our darling daughter, Caitlin Toohey, was diagnosed in August 2015 (at age 21) with melanoma which progressed to Stage IV melanoma in the years following. Caitlin has been continuously supported by the Melanoma Institute throughout her journey, undergoing a trial using the gene inhibitor drugs dabrafenib and trametinib and then following the cancer's return, immunotherapy. Caitlin has been in remission for just over four years. Our family is forever grateful for the work of the Melanoma Institute and the role they have played (and continue to play) in allowing Caitlin to continue to live life to the fullest.
We hope you join the 'Toohey clan' to help us give back and allow Georgina Long and her team to continue with their pioneering research and their incredibly high standard of care.
We hope to see you at Manly for a lovely walk for a great cause.
