Story
Hi guys!
Last year, we lost our dear friend and colleague Cheryl Weston following a valiant battle with cancer.
On 15 March 2026, a bunch of Piper Alderman colleagues and I will be participating in the 2026 Melanoma March (Manly) as a way of remembering the beautiful soul she was, and to raise funds in her honour for a truly great cause.
Melanoma Institute Australia (MIA) is a non-profit organisation dedicated to the goal of zero deaths from melanoma – a goal they believe believe they can reach this decade through innovative, world-class research, treatment and education programs. Every dollar raised by MIA will help the organisation progress its mission.
Please consider donating to my fundraising effort for MIA:
- One Australian is diagnosed with melanoma every 30 minutes.
- It is expected that 16,800 Australians will be diagnosed with melanoma this year, and 1,300 will die.
- Melanoma is the most common cancer for Australians aged 20-39.
If caught early, 90% of melanomas can be cured by surgery. Education is vital, and your donation to MIA will help save lives by supporting MIA's education campaigns, as well as ongoing research and treatment.

Thanks so much for your support 😊
